With the apparent demise of fliggo, in terms of being able to continue to upload videos anyway, if anybody finds a similar service online can they post it here? The Ning seems to retain the YouTube embed code and I can't sneak it past school filte...
apologise, did not mean to send the previous note as soon! So to continue.....
I am certainly with yuo on the 'brilliance' of this NING thing - I have not used it communicate with people (you are in fact my first victom!) but there really is a mind field of info. The A level ones and GCSE ones are also good - have you discovered them yet??
Thank you for getting back to me. It sounds really interesting. If it is not too cheeky, I would be really grateful if yuo are able to send me the scheme of work and the resources you have got. My email address is: sarah_lucas1980@hotmail.co.uk - hopefully that will help the transfer of large quantities of information! Any probs let me know....
Dan -
Your KS3 template is really useful, thank yuo.
Quick question about the street children/india films aspect of your new curriculum, from a devout Slumdog Millionaire fan (!), how have you approached this...?? What resources did you use?
I would appreciate any advice you can give. It is a real interest of mine and I would love to explore it further with the pupils. We have sponsered a charity at school called Hope Foundation (founded by an Irish lady) - they work with street children in Calcutta. Truely inspirational.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks David. It is actually the dummy version of me that I left in front of my classes on Friday. So far so good, as nobody seems to have noticed the difference.
